By Gavin Cooke

This is a wonderful article (posted below) by John Roberts, from the Sporting Intelligence website on the way transfer deals were done in the late 70s: ring the chairman at the theatre, journalist suggests a player, send a photocopier on a train. Magic. »

Hero worship and those who we left behind

By Dan Feeney

Players returning to their old clubs. It isn't a new and exciting thing, footballers will always change clubs, and inevitably will return to their old club on the opposing team at some stage. However, the reaction of both players and fans can be completely different, and not always as complimentary as it should be. »

Kicking Lumps?

By Dan Feeney

Blackburn Rovers 0 - Manchester City 2 - If City don't improve then they won't break into the Top 4. If Rovers keep this up then we could achieve the mid-table obscurity which we so crave after last season. »

AU released a great album in 2008 called Verbs. Later this year they are touring the UK, and will hopefully be playing some new songs too. This is a really fun popsong, with a kind of baltic feel to it. DF

Stereo Arcade are a popband from Sweden. They make really catchy art-rock, which has roots in the sounds of both Britain and Scandinavia. Thus far they have only put out a few songs, but if they are anything to go by this band will be worth going back to soon. DF
